The German Autobahn is the oldest, and one of the densest, motorway networks in the entire world. Apparently.

Apparently, Germany is the largest producer in the world of iron, steel, coal, cement, chemicals, machinery, vehicles, machine tools, electronics, food and beverages; shipbuilding and textiles. Phew!

Ulm Cathedral in Germany is the tallest church in the world at some 161 metres (530 feet) high.

Albert Einstein, possibly one of the most prolific scientists in the world, was German.  However it has been said that he failed his first University Entrance Exam.

A new perfume was introduced to the German market called Irish Mist.  However, mist in German means manure so it’s not surprising that sales did not take off!  (It was re-branded Irish Moos (moss) soon after).
